Honored Followers of the Silver Way,
the Silver Information Division (SID) is an organization dedicated not only to the acquisition, analysis, and publication of information, but also to performing a number of services for the smoother operation of the Silver Camp.
The main task of the SID will be the consistent distribution of information (in multiple languages, if necessary) and potential quests to the Silver populace. The key idea is to enable more players to actively participate in the many stories, both large and small, that are developing on the Isles of Dragons.
We aim also to support the camp leadership, for example, by more reliable scheduling of camp events.
The SID will absolutely rely on the help of both volunteers as well as paid supporters, in roles such as scribes, informants/agents, ambassadors, advisors, bureaucrats, and many more, to actually realize its potential. The wide spectrum of tasks (and hooks for active player engagement) is apparent from the SID being organized as ten offices:
Office for the aquisition and evaluation of information
Office for scribing, protocol and archival
Office for the diplomatic relations of the Silver Camp
Office for internal security, laws and justice
Office for the hiring and administration of labor
Office for the publishing of information
Office for the administration of quests and special operations
Office for camp planning and issuance of letters of passage
Office for the organization and scheduling of events
Office for the administration and collection of coin
SID headquarters are located in a frame house close to the camp battleground, while a branch office is maintained directly by the main gate. Bulletin boards will update the Silver populace on current developments and crucial news, such as declarations of war or peace. We will try to continuously staff these locations with SID coordinators or trained volunteers to provide assistance.
